Welcome
Community College Assistance (CCA) is a one on one educational-service that provides expert college planning help to students and families. CCA knows that with the current economy, it’s not just about getting students into college—it’s about helping them find a career direction that is fulfilling and exciting, finding financial assistance to help with tuition, room and board, books and other college related expenses and helping students choose the right classes each year depending on their educational goals. Now more than ever, students need a college counselor to meet with them one on one to help navigate through their 2-4 year college plans. CCA’s goal is to help ease the stress of the college enrollment process by assisting students with registering for college and making their class schedule, assisting students and parents in the financial aid and scholarship process and eliminating other barriers that could stand in the way of the student and their success.
April L. McNallen is founder of Community College Assistance. With a career in education as a High School Counselor, with a concentration in college admissions counseling, April’s broad understanding for the college admissions and financial aid process has opened doors for many students. Having earned her Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling along with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential April is eager to assist students and families through the admissions process by meeting with each client (in person) to discuss their educational goals and start the process towards their future.
“April is competent, proficient, and efficient in all of her duties, and she does so with a calm, friendly demeanor and a “can do” attitude.” Brett Killeen-Principal, Torrey Pines High School, San Dieguito Union High School District
